Episode 3 - Ross Nykiforuk
Manage episode 348780734 series 3249103
Our guest on this week's episode is Ross Nykiforuk, whose storied career has seen him tour with the Northern Pikes, perform under his alter ego, "Styles Montreaux", and run a successful studio in Saskatoon, engineering and producing albums for bands like The Sheepdogs, The Northern Pikes, and Punch Drunk Cabaret. We talked about Elvis Costello, studio production, writing for film and television, touring internationally with the Pikes, and why he just might be part of the problem! Ross is witty, dry, and very direct in his assessment of various aspects of the music industry and this was a great chat. Randy and Ross have also worked closely together in the past and share a couple of recollections of past collaborations.
