I love sleep. Wait, let me try that again. I LOVE sleep. I think I love it because I never get enough of it. My primary job is as a morning radio host, so I'm waking up at about 3am every day. I don't think I've had an 8 hour night of sleep in 15+ years at this point. I miss sleep.

It was a few years ago that I realized how important sleep really is to us. Sure, we all know that we feel better and more alert when we get a good night of rest. But there's so much more to it.

This week's conversation is with Dr. Aric Prather. He's a professor of psychiatry and behavioral sciences at the University of California, San Francisco. He's also the co-director of the Aging, Metabolism, and Emotions Center. He's been studying the sleep habits of people for many years and has now put everything into a fantastic new book titled 'The Sleep Prescription: 7 Days To Unlocking Your Best Rest.'

We chat a lot about the book, but we also dive into things like the positives and negatives of sleep aids, napping and how it's so much easier to get more sleep when you're single and unattached. I hope you enjoy!
