- PA Governor Tom Wolf spends thousands on private law firms but won't disclose why. The legal office of Pennsylvania’s governor won’t explain why it paid private law firms at least $367,500 Wolf entered office eight years ago as a champion of government transparency.

- Elon Musk has presented his brief tenure as the CEO of Twitter as a bid to revive "free speech" on the platform. But there are signs that he is quietly suspending left-leaning Twitter accounts for ideological reasons, while reinstating far right wing accounts that broke Twitter's rules in the past. Go figure. Musk has suspended several notable left-wing accounts over the past week or so. A number of them were anti-fascist researchers and organizers who focused on documenting far-right activity.

- Mets sign former Astros ace Justin Verlander to $86 million deal

- For the first time, Donald Trump explicitly called for the Constitution to be subverted in pursuit of his ridiculous election conspiracy theories.

- Trump on his bogus "Truth" Social web called for the suspension of the Constitution to overturn the 2020 election, citing false conspiracy theories about election fraud.

- The United States’ tournament-ending 3-1 loss to the Netherlands at the World Cup was seen by 16.5 million on U.S. English- and Spanish-language television and digital streams
