I first met the country duo Everette back in 2018 just a few short months after they became a band. They were out on the road doing what is known as a radio tour. Basically an artist travels around the country visiting radio stations to introduce themselves. We grabbed dinner and I walked away excited to see what these guys would do.

Brent and Anthony started to gain some momentum but then, like all the rest of us, they were stopped in their tracks by the pandemic. Instead of letting that get them down, they took the time to look deeper into what they were doing and what they hoped to accomplish. It was a time of reflection that has led to what I think is their best work yet, the new album Kings Of The Dairy Queen Parking Lot Side B.

In this episode of Adult Education we talk about how the pandemic shifted their perspectives, as well as how the band got together and how a little time apart made them realize how much they needed each other.
