Welcome to Big Family Adventures! On today's podcast Kristin shares why it's important to put away the homework and obligation more often and set outside with our kids. Learning inside the classroom is only a small part of where and when kids learn- it's important they can explore, and discover and dig and dance around.

If you have kids and sometimes ask yourself questions like: how do I have more fun with my kids, how do I get them off of their digital devices more, what else can we do as a family then you've come to the right place.

Kristin, co-founded ZiggityZoom.com an online site that has reached over 10 million families and classrooms with creative, crafty, fun and colorful projects, printables, food and family ideas that she started with her mom in 2008 and has been inspiring kids and parents ever since.

Real Life Family Adventures and Encouragement to help your family break free from the digital world. (survive and thrive in the digital world)

A Podcast (eventually book/workbook) for families to Encourage, Inspire and Motivate to Embrace Your Family Time and Set out on more family adventures, and Make the most of the time You have with your kids.

Let’s take back our family time, let’s raise kids doing the things we used to do, let’s say no to over scheduled, stuck indoors, extra homework, video game lives- let’s begin to live again.

We believe family comes first. We believe in making time for play and that play isn’t just for kids. We believe learning can be fun and extends far beyond the classroom. The most important lessons usually happen at home or out in the world. And we think HOMEWORK IS OVERRATED. We want kids to GO OUTSIDE and experience nature and play games like hopscotch and tag. We believe games are special, bringing us together and teaching us important things. We believe parents have an opportunity to teach, and to make every day special with little touches and small gestures that make big impressions. We believe in sparking imaginations and that you are never too young or old to follow your dreams or imagine a new one. We have maker spirits and desire to create something daily. We believe family should be fun, filled with love, sharing and connections, togetherness and adventures and magical times. We believe family is happiness, silliness and creative ideas, playful things and heart-filled service, enjoyable and full of life lessons. We believe faith belongs in our homes and hearts. We believe parenting is the greatest adventure of your life.

We believe Building a Better World starts at home with the experiences, lessons, love, adventures and creativity and connections we share there.

We believe parenting is the greatest adventure of your life.
