In this episode, we’re exploring the disappearances of Jeramy Burt of Boise, Idaho and Joann Matouk Romain of Grosse Pointe Woods, Michigan. Our two subjects both vanished on frigid winter nights during the first decade of the 2000s. While both of our subjects seemed to live normal lives, they in fact had messy pasts that may have come back to haunt them.
Jeramy Burt was a hunting-obsessed, self-employed roofer who was described as a ladies man. His penchant for ladies; however, often gets him trouble. In particular, an ex-lover who Jeramy had turned against is suspected once Jeramy goes out one night in February of 2007 never to be seen again.
Joann Matouk Romain was a seemingly typical resident of the wealthy Grosse Pointe Woods township. Fighting over familial wealth in Joann's family, however, had caused rifts within the family, which would only deepen with time. Joann herself would foreshadow just how dangerous those family rifts would become, as members of her own family are suspected once she disappears in January of 2010.
We'll see that both of our subjects had nagging feelings that foul play could befall them. They also implied who would be responsible. However, to this day their disappearances remain unsolved.
