It’s been almost a year and a half since Texas’s anti-CRT Legislation (HB3979 and SB3) has been in effect. What’s it been like for educators? Has it had the desired effect? We read an article in Ed Week for reference. Curiously, despite the efforts of the author, Ileana Najarro, no conservative educators responded to follow-up questions but the article does include the voices of educators of color. Despite assurances from lawmakers, there remains confusion about what’s out of bounds and also confusion about the consequences for violating the law. Stick with us as we continue to follow what’s happening on the ground and explore this contentious issue.
