Song: From The Rising
Song by: Patrick Lundy
Drummer: Gail Nobles
Vocals by: Gail Nobles
Patrick Lundy gospel musician and founder/director of Patrick Lundy and The Ministers of Music, based out of Washington, D.C. Lundy was born in March 1967 in Thomasville, Georgia, the son of Charlie B. Lundy and Mary Lundy. He is a graduate of Howard University, where he received his bachelor's degree in music business.
Lundy formed The Ministers of Music in November 1994 at Ebenezer AME Church located in Fort Washington, Maryland. He started his recording music career in 1995, with the release of We Sing the Power.
Today I’m thinking of Lundy’s song from The Rising from his album By Faith released in 2017.
He sings: From the rising of the sun
Until the going down of the same …
You’re worthy God,
You’re worthy of our praise.
All the glory, and all the honor, all
the praise to your name.”
I love how Lundy directs the choir to stomp their feet and mentions the wooden church. It puts you in the mood to praise the Lord. You can also hear the clapping of the hands from the choir as they sing.
You can hear Patrick Lundy’s song on Spotify titled “From the Rising”. You’re listening to a show about The Gospel Greats. I’m your host, Gail Nobles. Have a blessed weekend and thank you for listening.
