Let’s get real for a second.
You will never, ever, ever be done.
As an entrepreneur, there will always be something to do. The question is, how do you be okay with that and what do you need to do in order to continue moving forward?
In this episode of Get Your Shit Together, I am sharing 5 tips on how you can execute and attack your to-do list, realize your goals, and at the same time eliminate distractions.
By the end of this episode, you will better understand how to recognize your small wins as progress and use that as the vehicle to keep you moving in the right direction. In addition, I give you a few tips on how to temporarily eliminate what’s holding you back, prioritize what’s important now, and outline your life pie.
There is no one magic pill to success. Nor is there one system that works for all. Uncovering parts of many ways to do the thing you are trying to do will ultimately help you develop your own special formula. I have a feeling that these tips will inspire you to find your own creative path while showing you that you are worthy of more and that giving up is not an option.
Show Highlights:
[3:01] Instead of looking at all that negative stuff, try looking at the other side. I am not embarrassed to admit that I often miss the mark in getting to those monthly milestones, thus my quarterly goals.
[6:20] Your progress, your accomplishments, and your wins cannot always be seen or measured by your never-ending, obnoxious to-do lists. Those lists are simply there as reminders that you have lots of shit to do.
[7:03] Small actionable steps are where it is at. It’s not always about completion - although that feels amazing - it’s more about action.
[15:03] The expectations that you put on yourself can leave your tank empty. I don’t want that for you. I want your tank to always be full. And one of the ways that I have been able to maintain that is by being able to see what I have accomplished and how I got there.
