Podcasting is SELF TALK?
Manage episode 359253068 series 3461378
I am Always Listening. My name is Joel Sharpton, I’m a podcast consultant and editor & I have been since January of 2016. Welcome to the latest iteration of Always Listening, a podcast ABOUT Podcasting.
We’re going to have some interviews & if you look in the feed for this podcast you’ll find three bonus episodes that ARE existing interviews with Tyler Mahan Coe, Cameron Reilly and Jay Soderberg, tremendous podcasters & pioneers in one way or another that I was lucky enough to talk with on a previous iteration of this show. More of that to come.
But sometimes, it’s gonna be like this. Just me, talking about content creation, philosophy and my philosophy of content creation. :)
Podcasting is an incredibly powerful medium because it’s an opt-in medium. People don’t stumble on your show accidentally. No one is forced to listen to your podcast in the lobby of a mechanic or doctor office. They CHOOSE you.
My first show was more than anything, an excuse to spend time weekly with a friend. For this show, it’s about sharing my own joy in creation and learning from those who enjoy their own creation experience. We’re gonna talk about stats and software. We’re gonna talk about mics and media hosts. But MOSTLY, we’re gonna talk about podcasts. Why we love them, what they’ve done for us, and what we’ve done through them.
If that sounds up your alley, then make sure you FOLLOW the show in your preferred app, or SUBSCRIBE to the YouTube channel to get more of it, it’ll be a lot more fun if you folks are along for the ride, but I’m probably gonna do it even if I’m just talking to myself.
Remember, I’m Joel Sharpton, and I’m always listening.
