Undoubtedly, the Ajax of the early 1970s was one of the greatest club sides ever as they dominated Dutch football and, more significantly, won 3 European Cups in a row between 1971 and 1973. We took a deep dive into Michels' famed 'Total Football' team and who better to join us than Gary Thacker, who is just about to release his new book, Dutch Masters: When Ajax's Totaalvoetbal Conquered Europe.
