In this episode Sheridan chats with Michelle Potthurst about Training Needs Analysis.

Michelle supports small businesses with L&D functions and has a real interest in Training Needs Analysis.

A strong believer in giving people a skill and framework to use that suits their way of working. Michelle also wants businesses to find better ways to do things within the working environment such as using branching scenarios which show the real life scenario of what happens when you don’t do it.

To carry out any Training Needs Analysis and come up with the appropriate training solution, Michelle and Sheridan discuss the following questions:

  1. What is it we want people to do as a result of this training

  2. What do people need in order to achieve it?

  3. Why aren’t people doing it? What challenges are they facing?

This is a really interesting episode with so much insight from Michelle. Have a listen and we’d love to hear your thoughts on this subject.
