Jay Larkins & Dri-Flower:
DriFlower innovator and entrepreneur Jay Larkins has spent over 30 years in the cannabis industry. From the first time he smoked a bag of brick weed in Santa Clarita, CA (1991), Jay realized that if he bought an ounce and sold half, he'd be smoking for free. Before long, he was moving pounds of "pretindica," "Humboldt outdoor," boxes of "Canadian B-sters," and eventually moving truckloads of brick weed.
In 2002, Jay was implicated in a multi-state marijuana trafficking operation and went on the run for ten years. During that time, he continued smuggling cannabis to make ends meet and provide for his then-wife and their four children as they bounced from location to location. By 2005, Jay had dissolved his smuggling network and dedicated his full attention to growing cannabis, which he had done off-and-on since those early high school days. As a large-scale grower, Jay quickly saw the limitations of the way it had "always been done" and began sorting out a new solution for harvesting, hanging, and drying cannabis. This was the birth of the DriFlower HangHarvesting System.
In 2012, Jay was done with life on the run. Looking over his shoulder was not how he wanted to live. So he turned himself in, struck a deal, and served a short time in Cincinnati, OH. After clearing his past, Jay kept it legit and got into growing medical marijuana. He also started a recreational cannabis company with some partners in 2014. But the life changes in 2012 were about more than clearing his past; it was about creating a new path forward. Jay had become a Bikram Yogi, studying directly with Bikram, and embraced a new level of focus and dedication. Jay ultimately walked away from those cannabis partnerships and unhealthy relationships, opened a yoga studio, and taught Bikram yoga. Amazingly, it was here, in a hot yoga room, that Jay had the complete vision for the DriFlower HangHarvesting System, bringing a new industry standard to the world.
Today, Jay lives happily with his beautiful wife DeAnna and their three young children, practices yoga regularly, and is the proud CEO and mastermind behind DriFlower HangHarvesting Systems.
