Take 2 Podcast, Episode 3: Ritu Bhasin
Ritu Bhasin is an award-winning speaker, consultant, bestselling author, and internationally recognized expert in diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI).
As Founder and President of Bhasin Consulting Inc. (BCI), Ritu has worked with hundreds of top organizations and senior leadership teams around the world to advise on creating inclusive, equitable and authentic leadership. Some of Ritu’s clients include: Salesforce, Boston Consulting Group, KPMG, Shell, Microsoft, Facebook, United Steelworkers, Pfizer, and Capital One.
She has also experienced, first hand, racism, bullying, and cultural confusion growing up being a child of working class immigrants of color and that informed the development of her mission to create a more empowered and inclusive world and workforce. She is committed to building a world where people feel safe enough to bring their authentic selves into whatever space there are participating in.
Ritu started her career as lawyer, however, found that her lack of being able to be authentic in that space made her disempowered and unhappy. In her upcoming book, “We’ve Got This: Unlocking the Beauty of Belonging”, she describes how as human beings, we crave belonging. We long to belong to communities and it’s in that quest, that sometimes we confirm to cultural constructs and conditioning.
From our conversation, you will learn from Ritu the struggle and journey she embarked on to belong. We discuss breaking past sterotypes and social conditioning, what it means to be an authentic leader, how to create real inclusive environments in the workplace that embrace who people really are… and so much more….
