A happiness group is a gathering where individuals discuss topics related to their day-to-day happiness, such as definitions of happiness, goal accomplishment, habits, mindfulness, and personal values. It provides a space to reflect on what one truly values and how it can serve as motivation for positive change. The VIA Character Strengths survey, developed by Positive Psychology experts, helps identify personal values. Participants then design 30-day goals aligned with their values and share experiences with the group. The group offers accountability, motivation, and support in achieving happiness-related goals. Starting a group involves organizing people, choosing a suitable place, and establishing ground rules. The author shares their experience and highlights the benefits of value-driven motivation and accountability.
