Craig is a small business owner and veteran elected official with more than 30 years of experience in California politics, including serving as President of the Robla School District for over a decade. And now Craig is a Republican Candidate for US Congress for the State of California, challenging Democratic incumbent, Congressman Ami Bera for the 6th Congressional District seat in November 2024. 1) We’ve titled this episode, “Pro-2A Candidate in CA” because that sounds like a tough and uphill climb. You live in the state of CA, where your Governor Gavin Newsom is trying to actually change the US Constitution to implement many anti-gun ideas. Your goal is to serve at the Federal Level, as a US Congressman in a specific Congressional District. Walk us through all of this. What was the tipping point to your decision to run for this office? 2) What has been the initial reaction to your candidacy? Are people ready for a change? 3) Political campaigns run on volunteers and money...with inflation running rampant how are the donations going? 4) We’ve been told that the next generation views the Constitution as some dusty old piece of literature that is full of outdated ideas. Yet, every elected official swears to protect and defend that very same document. How do we reinvigorate our Founding principles for the young people of our nation?
