Barry first found music when he borrowed his sister's record collection when he was about eight and was hooked. When Caroline started it was a new beginning, and he listened to all the stations, but Caroline was his favourite by far. Later he became a singer in a band, then started doing discos when he was 18. He joined Caroline in 1977, touring the country with the Caroline Roadshow for 10 years, having great fun. Barry helped with tender trips and worked on the Ross Revenge in '84 and '85. ...

«Мое звучание родилось от безысходности — в ‘93 году я хотел делать что-то типа нью-йоркского хип-хопа, но у меня не было ни связей, ни денег чтобы заплатить эмси. И я решил тогда записать вместо классического — абстрактный хип-хоп и просто замедлил ритм. А в ‘96 году выяснилось, что это трип-хоп», — вспоминает DJ Cam. Пятнадцать лет назад он пресытился мягкими отзвуками джазовых семплов, пожил в Майами и закономерно пересел с живых брейков абстрактного хип-хопа на вполне конкретный ритм 808 Роланда. Результат впечатляющий: парижанин чувствует себя обновленным, а из его музыки пропала жизнь. Исчезли шорохи пластинок, ушла трескотня фанковых сбивок, звук стал гладко выбрит. Такой хип-хоп нам не нужен, поэтому я собрал его лучшие инструментальные треки из девяностых и нулевых в маленький часовой микc.
