In this rather ramble-esk episode, I explain how I found out through a Facebook poll that it no longer really matters if you are a photographer or videographer, you can capture/create/post whatever you like and it is totally acceptable!
Does this mean there is no line in the sand anymore? Is there no distinction between your role or job at a wedding or on a commercial project? Can you literally just please yourself despite what you were hired to do? I am not sure....but according to a fairly large sized response to a question of our peers here in the UK, this appears to be the case.
I do think this is a great piece of evidence that attitudes towards hybrid content creation is changing and that everyone has started to shift their mindsets to a different way of doing things. Here is to the future of lines becoming even more blurred when it comes to photography, videography, filmmaking and creating content!
The How to Shoot Hybrid Podcast is for photographers and videographers who capture weddings, live events, work with commercial clients and work on creative projects. We discuss different topics around photography and filmmaking as well as interview guests in the photography, filmmaking and hybrid content creation industries.
