Manage episode 371697480 series 2990940
Curt Schilling was one of the most feared starting pitchers in the last 50 years. In his 20-year career, Schilling went 216-146 with a 3.16 ERA and 3116 strikeouts, 15th in MLB history. He won three World Series rings (two with the Boston Red Sox and one with the Arizona Diamondbacks) and was a six-time All-Star. Along with Randy Johnson in 2001, the duo led the Diamondbacks to their first and only World Series title to date. Despite winning 200-plus games, striking out over 3000 batters, and being a three-time World Series champion, Schilling was never inducted into the baseball hall of fame. Why was that?
