For centuries ancient civilizations have used all sorts of stuff to treat wounds and aide in healing on the battlefield. This has been documented on more than few occasions . Now leaches and maggots are taking center stage in reducing of blood clotting for diabetic patients and getting rid of dead flesh. Is this the bridge between what was once referenced as alternative therapy in western medicine . Will they start looking into other insects or creatures in our healing? Where does this take us in realizing the symbiotic relationship we have with our planet and each other ?
