Darren Brealey, is a playwright from Melbourne who has been developing stories for the past 20 years. Darren debuted as a writer and producer in the guise of his first full-length play, The Meeting Place in the 1996 Melbourne Fringe Festival. He lived in London pursuing his writing and creative journey there. But recently Darren returned back to Australia when Covid had come to destroy our lives. Darren is now living and working out of Canberra. Darren is about put a play up on at the Melbourne Fringe Festival this year called 'Broken River'. Which is about a mother (who is battling with cancer and dementia) and her two sons relationship and exploring the meaning of love and whether it is enough. Darren was very gracious to share his journey with us and also his two books: Stage to Stardom - The Audition Handbook and Don't Waste your Audition.
