William Malcolm is CCSO’s mental health director, a position created a year ago that is intended to help people leaving the Detention Center gain access to resources that can help prevent them from being re-arrested. He also visits people in the community who have frequent contact with deputies. His goal is to limit the need for future law enforcement involvement for those struggling with mental illness.
