Granny Ripper [ONGOING] | SERIAL KILLER FILES #22
A grandmother who killed and devoured her victims. Seems like a fairy tale. But it's not. Tamara Samsonova, also known as "Granny Ripper," is a Russian woman who gained notoriety in 2015 for murdering and dismembering her neighbors. She was caught after her son found incriminating evidence and reported her to the police. Samsonova was found guilty but was deemed legally insane and sent to a psychiatric institution instead of prison. She had a history of mental illness and was known to be fascinated with serial killers, often leaving cryptic notes and messages after her crimes.
The Giggling Nanny | SERIAL KILLER FILES #23
Nannie Doss, also known as the "Giggling Granny" or the "Lonely Hearts Killer," was an American serial killer who murdered at least 11 people between the 1920s and 1954, including four of her husbands, two of her children, her two sisters, her mother, her mother-in-law, and a grandson. She was born on November 4, 1905, in Blue Mountain, Alabama, and died on June 2, 1965, in the Oklahoma State Penitentiary in McAlester, Oklahoma, where she was serving a life sentence for murder.
Doss was known for her seemingly sweet and friendly demeanor, which often included a distinctive, high-pitched giggle. She would meet men through personal ads and kill them for their money or to escape a bad relationship. Despite her murders, she was able to maintain a seemingly normal life, with many of her friends and family members describing her as a loving and caring person.
The Vienna Strangler - Jack Unterweger | SERIAL KILLER FILES #33
An accomplished author and friend to the police, Jack was a serial killer great at remaining under the radar. Unterweger went to prison for murder, then found fame as an author — before strangling several women to death in Austria and Los Angeles between 1990 and 1991. Let's open the serial killer file...
