The first offer is always the starting point and as a reminder only 4 in 10 people negotiate their offer and of those 8 in 10 get an improved offer.
Also, start planning now if you're considering a job switch, most people look for jobs in January with the majority of job offers extended in February, and March typically has the highest number of resignations. That aligns to bonuses and budget refreshes, so start prepping now if 2024 is your year for a new job or a new industry.
