What is your number one job as a leader?
On my first day on the job as a new executive, a board member (one of my bosses) asked me this question.
I thought...
...operational excellence
...increase net profit
...build a strategic plan
Their answer surprised me.
They said, "Find and train your replacement."
Why?
Because leaders develop leaders.
