U.S. Kids Golf is a global brand, recognized around the world as one of the leaders in attracting youth golfers to the game. However, the epicenter of the efforts and leadership for U.S. Kids Golf is right here in the Pinehurst area of North Carolina. Chris Vonderkall is vice-president of the U.S. Kids Golf Foundation and has been with the organization for more than two decades. The mission of U.S. Kids Golf is to help kids have fun learning the lifelong game of golf and to encourage family interaction that builds lasting memories. While the U.S. Kids Golf Foundation and their Golf Academy is located at Longleaf Golf & Family Club in Southern Pines, it is perhaps best known inside of the Home of American Golf for its annual U.S. Kids World Golf Championships, played on 11 different golf courses in the Sandhills area during a two-week period from the end of July through early August. In this Paradise in the Pines podcast, Vonderkall talks about his passion for the mission of U.S. Kids Golf, how he arrived and enjoys the Pinehurst area with his family and his love for the Pittsburgh Steelers! @USKidsGolfFDN @pinehurstresort @usga #visitnc #pinehurstnc #homeofamericangolf
