We’ve all been there….the dreaded decision of whether or not to stay or go in a relationship. Why do we stay in relationships that aren’t working? There are so many reasons!

Today Megan and Shannon discuss some of the reasons why and relate it into their own experiences. We discuss the importance of weighing the current state of what’s really happening now and not relying on all the good stuff that happened in the past.

So, now what?

· Check your deal breakers list! How does your partner score? https://chipper-inventor-8862.ck.page/065afb4a0f

· Keep a pocket journal to record how you’re feeling about the relationship. When something happens that has you questioning things try to write it down as soon as possible to capture how you’re feeling in that moment and also, so you don’t forget the details. Oftentimes we look back and minimize how we felt making it easier to brush off.

· Go to therapy and/or coaching. We believe it’s important to have individual therapy as well as couple therapy with the same therapist to receive the most benefit from it.

Shannon shares a tip on creating a conflict contract to set the ground rules ahead of an argument and the importance of adhering to it.

We also discuss signs to continue working on a relationship:

1. Willingness and openness to work on it together

2. Taking the action to make changes and improve

3. Showing that changes are taking place and being accountable

Things can improve as long as you're both willing to put in the effort. And if someone isn't willing to do that, buh bye.
