#45 - Many people love and strive to follow Jesus. There are approximately 2.6 billion Christians around the world and many different denominations within Christianity. So… Why does the restored gospel of Jesus Christ matter?

What makes The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints unique?

In this episode, Jason and Allison are going to talk about one very important aspect of the Church that they’re particularly grateful for: modern prophets. They discuss what a prophet’s role is, how they’re called of God and most importantly, how they bring us closer to Jesus Christ if we heed their counsel and instructions.

In the words of the Prophet Joseph Smith, “The fundamental principles of our religion are the testimony of the Apostles and Prophets, concerning Jesus Christ, that He died, was buried, and rose again the third day, and ascended into heaven; and all other things which pertain to our religion are only appendages to it” (Teachings of Presidents of the Church: Joseph Smith [2007], 49)

If you want to know why the Restoration matters, this is a good place to start.
