After a 1-3-1 start and a looming Connor McDavid injury, the vibes are incredibly not good in Oilerville and it has the boys a little nervous.

Following a light-hearted chat about weddings and late night McDonald's trips, they dove into the 5 Oiler games that opened the 2023-24 NHL season (09:13) including:

  • An 8-1 pounding by the Canucks
  • The 6-1 beatdown of the Preds
  • One of the worst Oiler games in recent memory in Philadelphia

Following, they opened it up to the big picture and chatted about the performance of the supporting cast, the potential scenarios of a Connor McDavid injury and why there is reason to still be optimistic. (28:57)

Closing out the episode, they talked NHL topics such as Travis Dermott rocking Pride Tape, Rasmus Andersson and some early reactions to the season. (44:25)
