In this episode, I talk about the common little chats we have in our minds, which I describe as voices on our shoulders. Through personal stories and things I've learned, I show how the friendly 'right voice' helps us through tough times, helping us grow. On the other hand, the mean 'left voice' can mislead us. By sharing my own ups and downs, like tough times with loved ones and getting through a hard divorce, I highlight how listening to the 'right voice' helps us get better and build stronger bonds with others.

Show Notes:

  • Dr. Robert Rohm discusses the metaphorical voices in our heads guiding our decisions.
  • He introduces two characters representing these voices, one on each shoulder.
  • The 'right' voice encourages, corrects, and guides through life's challenges.
  • The 'left' voice condemns, discourages, and misleads.
  • Dr. Rohm shares personal anecdotes on overcoming challenges by listening to the 'right' voice.
  • Insights into how the model of human behavior, particularly DISC, aids in personal and relational growth.
  • The key takeaway: shifting mindset from 'if only' to 'next time' to learn and grow from experiences.
