In this update from the Family Freedom Caller, the Texas legislature is considering Education Savings Accounts (ESAs) to allocate state funds for other forms of education, like homeschooling and private schools. The Senate passed an ESA bill with $1,000 for homeschoolers, and the House approved a similar bill but couldn't proceed due to a lack of quorum. Governor Abbott is determined to pass the bill, even calling for additional sessions, but the final outcome remains uncertain as differences between the House and Senate versions need reconciliation in a conference committee.
