Dawn Jenyce interviews Dawn Hunter focusing on authentic living through tragedy, suffering, and grief. This is her story of how finding a purposeful mission helps her live fully after loss.
Dawn Hunter is an Account Executive for a large Digital Marketing Agency and holds a Master's Degree in Digital Marketing from the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication from Arizona State University.
Losing a child redefines your life and you are never the same. Her son's death by suicide led her to create the Arizona Chapter of the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention where she was able to educate the community about the facts surrounding suicide and reach out to others to let them know that it's not their fault and to share her journey. That was a turning point in her grief.
Her gratitude is immense for what she now has. Dawn says, "We don't choose what life has in store for us but we have a choice to take those experiences and grow from them. This perspective is a journey and not an overnight matter. We keep living and facing life one day at a time."
