Barney Barnato was brilliant in business and...he was fun. He was the magician at the dinner party, the boxer in the ring, the actor on the stage. He was a fearless entrepreneurial thinker who regularly pushed in all his chips to move his business interests forward. Barney's first job was as a street performer in London. He heard about the diamond rush in Kimberly, South Africa from his cousin, and ten years after arriving to the diamond fields owned a vast financial fortune in the largest diamond mine in the world.
My special guest is Nancy du Tertre, who discovered through her research that Barney was her great, great uncle.
