Genesis 2:7 The LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed (H5301) into his nostrils the breath of life.

H5301

נָפַח nâphach a primitive root; to puff, in various applications (literally, to inflate, blow hard, scatter, kindle, expire; figuratively, to disesteem):

KJV - blow, breath, give up, cause to lose (life), seething, snuff.

1. God blew breath into the first human to GIVE life

2. The same breath can cause the OPPOSITE to LOSE life

Job 31:39 If I have eaten the fruits thereof … or have caused the owners … to lose (H5301) their life:
