In this episode of The Source, we speak to journalist and international law and human rights lawyer Dimitri Lascaris about the latest developments surrounding Ukraine and Israel's war in Gaza. We begin the interview by inquiring about the recent incident between Russia and Ukraine, in which a Russian military plane with Ukrainian prisoners of war on board was shot down in Russia. We then examine Ukrainian President Zelenskyy's peace plan, which he recently presented at the World Economic Forum in Davos, and analyze whether it can bring a realistic end to the war. We assess in detail Israel's progress in Gaza since the start of the war and the case brought by South Africa against Israel for genocide at the International Court of Justice.
