Henry Bromelkamp and Jeff Nelson have been through a lot together. Partners for 36 years, they have each enjoyed successful careers and together they have lived social, active lives. Just before the COVID19 pandemic hit, Henry had an accident.

The first half of the show we talk a lot about traumatic brain injuries. This show, and the message it carries, hits close to home for all of our hosts. We have witnessed firsthand the effects of the types of injuries. Please please please wear a helmet when you are exposed to risk. Bicycling, skiing, riding a scooter…anything that carries a serious risk of falling and hitting your head.

One thing I took from this episode, and from the first time I met Henry, is that it becomes somewhat hard for people to focus on life outside the injury and its effects. The second half of the show we get to know more about this wonderful couple, their lives before meeting and some of the activities they are currently enjoying.

Henry is truly lucky to be alive. His determination to make an impact on the world remains fully intact. Enjoy the show and please take good care of yourself and those you love.

Here is a link to an article about Charles Feeny, who Henry worked with for over 15 years. What an honor that must have been.
