Dave Kahle is a highly respected expert and author, with a wealth of experience in training and consulting for over 500 individual companies. His perspective on using a book as a tool for speaking engagements is shaped by his own journey, which began with his decision to become a consultant in his forties and his subsequent success as a self-published author. Kahle believes that while a book can sometimes directly lead to speaking engagements, its primary value lies in establishing credibility and expertise. He suggests that self-published authors should distribute copies of their book to potential buyers in their niche market to generate interest. Furthermore, he emphasizes that writing a book forces consultants and speakers to think clearly and develop a coherent message, thereby enhancing their professional reputation.
