Find out the answer to how we can stop that, as well as other cyber security issues, today on Cyber Sentinel. Welcome to Cyber Sentinel, I'm Alan Adcock. I'm CEO of ASC Group here in Atlanta, and on this episode we're gonna talk about some more ways to keep your data safe and defend your corporate network. We want to hear more questions from you, so find us on social media at #CyberSentinel and we'll get those questions answered. - [Narrator] Are there steps I should take before using public wifi? - So public wifi comes up a lot. We've talked before about making sure you're connected to a legitimate public access point. Other things to consider, the PC or Mac that you're using, is that encrypted, are you using proper password controls on that device? If you need to access corporate data or financial data from a public location, please make sure that you've got a VPN software client on your machine, that you've connected to that VPN before you go and access that data. Things like, personal email, things like that, probably not a big deal. Corporate mail, always assume that that corporate mail, someone's gonna read that, so that, again, you might want to be connected to a VPN before accessing that. Make sure that you've got good malware protection on there, your antivirus is up to date. All those general good machine hygiene items before using public wifi.
