Episode 5

In this episode we meet Simon who was out on his usual Sunday bikeride with friends along quiet country roads when a car swerved and hit him head on at 60 miles an hour. With a broken back, neck, leg, wrist and more his injuries were severe. Despite his extensive injuries, as Simon says himself – it became apparent early on that the injuries were fixable but the mind aspect was very difficult so we also speak to Dr Louise, who is the Principal Clinical Psychologist at Leeds Major Trauma Centre, about the work that is done to heal the trauma memories and their psychological impact.
