The summer of 1977 remains etched in my memory as an extraordinary period for rock concerts, especially as a 16-year-old. From June to August of that year, I was fortunate to witness live performances by legends such as Led Zeppelin, Fleetwood Mac, Pink Floyd, Emerson Lake & Palmer, and Yes, all at New York's Madison Square Garden. The excitement had already been set earlier in the year with shows from Boston, Foghat, ELO, and Queen. But it didn't stop there; 1977 was filled with memorable concerts, a golden era when attending such events was within easy reach for most teenagers.
Fleetwood Mac played two nights at Madison Square Garden at the end of June 1977.. This is the story of what it was like to be there at Madison Square Garden and witness Fleetwood Mac's show on June 30, 1977.
