Shame. It's a liar. Where does it come from? Why does it rock us to our core, so fiercely that it becomes a compelling part of our identity, controlling our behavior and how we show up in relationships? Shame holds incredible power to disconnect us from ourselves and others, sometimes bringing us to the point of depression, and addiction. How do we stop letting it control our self-perception? How do we take our power back?

On this episode, Ginny and Amanda break down shame to help you understand:

  • The nature of shame and how to recognize it
  • The role family and society play in creating shame
  • How shame differs from guilt
  • That shame is the opposite of worthiness
  • How to stop allowing shame to define you
  • One simple exercise that will help you to jump levels in your personal development

Skeletons come out of the closet as Ginny and Amanda share some deep, dark stories of shame that affected them to our their core, leading to addiction.
