Whether you are in a bad marriage asking the question, “When do I know it’s time to leave?” or walking with someone who is, this episode is an invitation to consider your marriage in a different way to hopefully gain more awareness, clarity and discernment about God's will provided it is safe and prudent to do so. Join Andy as she shares from the Emotionally Destructive Marriage by Leslie Vernick, author and licensed clinicial social worker, on the three different categories of bad marriages (marriages that struggle) and what can make it difficult to address and/or leave a destructive marriage. While it’s true faithful Catholics must teach God’s plan for marriage + family, it’s also true the faithful divorced need a soft place to land to be wrapped in the loving embrace of Christ and his church. Our hope is that this episode is a safe place to peer into heart of what the divorced may be going through to support them when endings become necessary for grave reasons.
