Today’s episode is the first in the series of seven that revolve around the seven areas of focus we should have in our life. This week’s area is the foundational block that we will build everything else on in our lives. This is a must for us as men when it comes to living an intentional and connected life. How do the 10 lessons fall into this area? Keep listening to find out!

Why It Matters:

Why is this faith, or personal growth, so important to us as men?

QUOTE:

"The only person you are destined to become is the person you decide to be." — Ralph Waldo Emerson

SCRIPTURE:

"Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!" - 2 Corinthians 5:17 (NIV)

Downfalls of Neglecting Spiritual or Personal Growth Time:

So you can see there are some positive attributes to having a strong foundation in faith, but I want to make sure I give you a couple of thoughts on what can happen to us in our lives.

QUOTE:

"Your time is limited, don't waste it living someone else's life.” — Steve Jobs

SCRIPTURE:

"Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving." - Colossians 3:23-24 (NIV).

Tip of the Week:

This week’s tip of the week: You need to develop regular, dedicated time for prayer and mindfulness.

And then, don’t forget, you can listen to us on Apple Podcast, iHeart, Spotify and any of the other places you listen to podcasts. If you can’t find us on your podcast player, email us and let us know and we will see if we can get it loaded to that catcher. We are also on the socials as well: Instagram at lifearoundthepit and Facebook at lifearoundthepittb.

Until next time: season some meat, start a fire, and make an impact!
