Episode 57-The Axe man of New Orleans/Wake the devil with Guest Ryan Winter

In this Episode I had the pleasure of interviewing Ryan Winter who authored Wake the Devil and Ravish. Wake the Devil is inspired by true events of the man who terrorized New Orleans in 1918. This is a true crime with an element of paranormal. From May 1918 to October 1919 the city of New Orleans Louisiana was struck by a roaming serial killer. He focused on Italian Immigrants and the majority were Grocers. This mystery is riddled with False Accusations, Salacious details, and paranormal elements. You are the judge of that. What are your Theories? Ryan talked about the details of his book Wake the Devil. These are also the stomping grounds of where Ryan was born and raised. I have started reading my copy and I promise it does not disappoint. Ryan and I are discussing the victims whose lives were tragically affected and those he injured. Keep in mind 6 killed and 6 are injured. Ryan was such a wonderful guest to have on the show to talk about in detail the lives the victims lead, the detective who worked hard to get this case solved. This is a case that will leave you scratching your head because it is an unsolved case. You can surmise all you want but no one till this day has ever been charged for the homicides. The same way the Axe man came he disappeared just like that never to resurface again. This case left me wondering if he truly was a demon walking the earth who has a close cultivated relationship with the grim Reaper as his letter states. This serial Killer had a penchant for jazz music. Ryan and I spoke about his projects and what he experienced when he was authoring the book Wake the Devil. We spoke about his future projects and what is in store for the next book. You can purchase the book at the link below. You can reach Ryan on his Facebook page below too. About Ryan Winter

A French Cajun author with a charming yet candid attitude, Ryan is as gregarious as his love of New Orleans and writing is renown! New to the publishing scene but no stranger to creative writing, his first work, a children's picture book, was conceived through a dare that horror writers could not cross genres. For his debut novel, Ravish, Ryan created an entire new world of mythology mixed with dark-fantasy, LGBT, and exotic elements which has stirred some Hollywood interest.
