With the popularity of her “West End Mum” character and other viral videos, Zara discusses how lockdown prompted her to start putting videos online, her nascent experiences of live comedy around a decade ago putting on standup gigs for academics, and talks about transferring her popular online characters to the stage. Plus, they discuss Zara’s work as a zoologist, Zara recalls her embarrassment at giving a former love interest a “thoughtful” gift that wasn’t well-received, and explains how she could’ve been cast in the 1996 Ted Danson film Loch Ness.
