Manage episode 409446381 series 3532987
Join our reporter Tom Howe for NEWSWAVE, your weekly rundown of the top stories happening across St Austell and surrounding areas.
In the latest episode, we join Jenny Gramnes and Laura Adams to chat about the Digital Futures project, a specialist training programme led by Truro & Penwith College that is designed to support people in Cornwall & the Isles of Scilly to build the skills they need to thrive in an increasingly digital world.
We check in with James Street, a videographer and photographer from Cornwall, who discusses the reasons behind his decision to embark on a trek along the entire Cornish Coastal Path in aid of Cancer Research UK.
As well as that, we mosey on down the south coast to Gyllyngvase Beach where we meet Cornwall Mobility who, in collaboration with Disability Cornwall and Cornwall Council, have launched a brand new fleet of All Terrain Chairs for the public to use at 14 locations across the Duchy - making it the biggest fleet situated anywhere in the UK!
If all that wasn’t enough, we hear from Chris Ballett of Our Active Community, who introduces a new project that focuses on listening to the voices of people with a learning disability and working collaboratively to create an even more inclusive, physically active, happy and healthy St Austell and Clay Country.
