Fr. Conrad reflects on his inspiration for the podcast while home for Thanksgiving. He read through biographies of the United States Presidents in order. Then he thought he could maybe do a project like that for the Popes. After six years, the Habemus Papam podcast ends. Through this research, Fr. Conrad explains in the finale now more greatly appreciates the work of the Holy Spirit to keep the Church afloat. We fallen, broken, and sinful humans are entrusted by God with the great gift that is the Church. Good men were popes and bad men were popes. But we have the confidence in Christ that the Church is our means to salvation.
