This week's edition of Afrika in Focus continues our series looking into the beauty industry.
We look into the epidemic of skin bleaching in the global Afrikan community.
Before this we put a rap on the hair issue and state the damaging toxic chemicals that are present in the hair products.
We advise what chemicals to look out for and also provide natural alternatives to these toxic, dangerous chemicals.
We also condemn some Afrikan (Black) women who die their hair blonde or wear blonde wigs advising of the white supremacist aryan symbolism of the whole notion of blonde-ness in the European/ white narrative.
We then delve into the disturbing issue of skin bleaching that is prevalent amongst some Afrikan women,
We identify some of the reasons why some Afrikan women are bleaching their God given carbon melanated skin that they were blessed with.
We advise Afrikan women to love themselves and not fall for the vicious European propaganda of so called beauty standards not forgetting that true beauty comes from within.
We end by stating the harmful health consequences of skin bleaching including skin cancer.
