Jack meets with Mark Jarman to discuss the Agritech landscape in Latin America. Mark is a Brit living in Colombia and through his consultancy AgriTierra, he leads a team of UK and Latin American specialists in business, finance, agri-food systems, and technology. They have developed and delivered activities in over 8 countries in the region building partnerships, designing solutions, and delivering projects in support of the needs of farmers, start-ups, financial institutions, agribusiness, innovation centres, research institutes, venture studios, and donors.
Mark is a Geographer with technical background in remote sensing and data analytics, He has spent 15+ years working in the global agricultural sector, I have led pioneering start-ups, I have worked with stakeholders from smallholders, to supermarkets, to Governments, and I have built a hugely successful agri-food strategy for one UK Governments centre of technology and innovation (Catapults).
