When a Christian thinks of “works,” it’s often in the context of something negative. E.g., “No one can be saved by works.” And while that is true, and the connotation is understandable, Jesus’ works were different. In our passage this weekend, Jesus will appeal to his works as reason enough for his opponents to believe in him even if they won’t believe his words!
